Maxine is a smaller basset hound.  She was found running loose after being given to family in the porterville area.  The family could no longer take care of her and her companion when they were contacted and gave her and Porter over to rescue.  She has recently had puppies and is being evaluated at our vets.  She will need to be spayed before she can be adopted.  She is still very timid with all the changes she has had in her life.  She is dependent on Porter.
